DIFFICULT FOR GAUCHOS TO KISS WHEN WEARING HATS

I wanted to lay down on the reprobate’s trail and howl for forgiveness,

but instead I kept to my evil ways, and I’ve never regretted that decision.

working for the tourist dollar

makes you want to hoot and holler

here on the wide and dusty prairie

the snakes are shifty the coyotes leery

there’s no drink that can quench the thirst

once it’s raised in a young man’s breast

oh to be living in that Roman time

making love and drinking wine

the buzzards sketch death’s pretty circle

one buzzard wears a monocle

I rode all night until dawn broke

I cracked an egg and cooked the yolk
